Receipt

The Receipt page is reached automatically right after a successful Pay & Book or Confirm Booking. It's the guest's confirmation that the reservation was created, along with a full, printable record of what was booked and what was paid. This page is shared across all booking layouts.

Quick start

  1. Wait for the page to finish loading after completing a booking
  2. Review the confirmation headline, reference number, and booking details
  3. Check the Billing & Pricing section for the full cost breakdown
  4. Click Print / Save as PDF to keep a copy

What you'll see

  • Confirmation headline — reflects the booking's actual status
  • Reference number and date — for looking up or referencing the booking later
  • Customer details — name, email, phone, and any special requests entered
  • Booking details — activity, booking type, date, time, and guest counts
  • Add-ons — every purchased extra, if any
  • Billing & Pricing — the complete cost breakdown, including tax, gratuity, promo savings, total, and what's been paid

How it works

Loading and arrival

The page is reached at a unique link containing the booking's reference number. A loader ("Loading booking confirmation…") shows while the receipt is being fetched — the Print / Save as PDF button only appears once it has finished loading successfully.

Headline and status

The headline reads "Booking Status" — for example, "Booking Confirmed" — reflecting whatever status the booking actually has, so it accurately shows something other than Confirmed if that's the true state. The reference number and the date the booking was made are shown near the top, with the date presented in a readable format. The activity name and receipt title are shown exactly as the business has configured them.

Detail sections

Every relevant detail renders as its own labeled section (for example, Customer Detail and Booking Detail), each shown as clear label/value rows:

  • Guest-count fields use the activity's own configured wording (for example, "Racers" instead of a generic "Adults", if that's how the activity is set up)
  • For a Party or Rental booking, no children-count row appears, since head count isn't tracked that way for those types
  • If a booking's party size required more than one unit or lane, the receipt shows the full combined guest count across all of them — not just one unit's share

Add-ons

The Add-Ons section appears only when at least one was purchased — it's left out entirely otherwise. Each line shows a thumbnail (or a placeholder icon if none was configured), the add-on's name, its unit price × quantity, and the line subtotal. An add-on's subtotal is always just its own unit price × quantity — it's never inflated by a share of tax, since tax appears as its own separate line. Even an add-on that has since been deactivated or removed from the booking type still appears correctly on a receipt for a booking made while it was still offered.

Billing & pricing

This section is organized into three groups, always shown in the same order:

  1. Adjustments — tax, gratuity, and promo code savings, when they apply
  2. Total — the final booking amount, visually set apart from every other line so it's easy to spot
  3. Settlement — Deposit paid now and Amount Due on the Day, showing what's already been collected and what's left

A few important formatting rules:

  • A discount line is shown as a negative amount with distinct styling, for example "Promo · SAVE10 −$20.00" — so it's clearly a reduction, not another charge
  • A charge that never applied (no tax, no gratuity, no promo used) is left out entirely rather than shown as $0.00
  • Amount Due on the Day is left out entirely once the booking has been paid in full — it isn't shown as $0.00 in that case
  • Every amount always shows two decimal places, including a genuinely free ($0.00) booking — dollar figures are never left blank

For the full formula behind these numbers — base price, discount, add-ons, tax, gratuity, and service fee — see Booking Summary & Pricing.

Once the receipt has finished loading, the Print / Save as PDF button appears below the content. Clicking it opens the browser's standard print dialog, where Save as PDF (or an equivalent "print to PDF" option) can be chosen as the destination. The printed or saved layout drops the button itself and any card shadow/visual chrome, leaving a clean printable record.

If the receipt can't be found

If the booking reference in the link doesn't match any real booking — because it's mistyped, blank, or belongs to a deleted booking — no receipt content renders. Instead, one of these appears in its place:

  • A specific error message when the system has a clear reason (for example, the booking wasn't found)
  • A generic fallback — "Failed to load booking confirmation." — when there's no specific reason available (for example, a network issue)

In either case, none of the normal receipt content (headline, sections, pricing) is shown at the same time as an error.

Common scenarios

Keeping a copy for records

Use Print / Save as PDF right after the booking completes — the page stays accessible at its unique link afterward as well, so it can be revisited later using the same URL.

A free or fully covered booking

If nothing is owed at all, the receipt still shows a Total of "$0.00" rather than leaving it blank, and the Amount Due on the Day line is omitted since there's nothing left to collect.

A booking made with a promo code

The discount appears as its own negative line item (for example, "Promo · SAVE10 −$10.00"), and the Total reflects the price after that discount has already been applied.

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see a tax or gratuity line on my receipt?

Those lines only appear when they actually applied to the booking. If no tax was charged or no gratuity was added, the corresponding line simply isn't shown.

Can I access my receipt again later?

Yes — the receipt page stays available at the same link (based on the booking's reference number) after the booking is completed.

Why is my confirmation status not "Confirmed"?

The headline always reflects the booking's actual current status. If it shows something else, that's the accurate state of the booking rather than an error in the page.

The Print button isn't showing up

This only appears once the receipt has fully finished loading. If it's still missing after the page loads, try refreshing.
