Step 3: Your Info

Your Info collects the guest's contact details, any location-specific consent, and — for booking types configured to ask for it — a gratuity choice, before the guest moves on to Payment.

Quick start

  1. Enter Full Name, Email, and Phone Number
  2. Fill in Event Address and Special Requests, if shown (both optional)
  3. Accept any terms shown in the opt-in section, if present
  4. Leave the marketing subscription box checked, or uncheck it, as preferred
  5. Click Continue to Payment — and choose a gratuity amount if a dialog appears

What you can do

  • Provide contact details so the business can confirm and, if needed, reach the guest about the booking
  • Add special requests or notes for the booking
  • Accept booking-type-specific terms, when required
  • Choose whether to receive marketing updates, when the location offers that option
  • Add a gratuity/tip for staff, when the booking type is configured to ask for one

Field visibility

Full Name, Email, Phone Number, and Special Requests are always shown, for every location and booking type.

Event Address only appears when the location's "show event address" setting is turned on. This is a location-wide setting — it doesn't change based on which booking type was chosen.

The terms opt-in section (a content block plus an "I agree to the terms above" checkbox) only appears when the selected booking type has opt-in enabled, showing that specific booking type's configured content. A different booking type at the same location may not show this section at all.

The marketing subscription checkbox only appears when the location's marketing subscription setting is turned on, labeled with that location's configured text.

Required fields & validation

FieldRequirement
Full NameRequired — "Please enter your name." if empty
EmailRequired — "Please enter your email." if empty, or "Please enter a valid email address." if not a valid format
Phone NumberRequired — "Please enter your phone number." if empty
Event AddressAlways optional, even when shown
Special RequestsAlways optional, even when shown
Terms opt-in checkboxRequired only when the opt-in section is shown — "Please accept the terms to continue." if left unchecked
Marketing subscription checkboxAlways optional; pre-checked (opted in) by default when shown

Continuing to Payment

The button on this step reads "Continue to Payment." It stays disabled while any required field is invalid, and re-enables automatically once every field is corrected.

Clicking Back returns to Add-ons (or Booking Details, if this booking type has no Add-ons step) with everything entered intact. Returning to this step later preserves everything already filled in.

Gratuity / tip prompt

Some booking types are configured to ask guests for a gratuity on top of the price. This applies only on the customer-facing booking page — staff-created bookings never include a gratuity step.

When this applies and no tip choice has been made yet, clicking Continue to Payment opens an Add a Gratuity dialog instead of immediately moving on:

  • The dialog shows the current total, a "No thanks" (0%) option, and each configured tip percentage with its computed dollar amount (for example, 20% / 15% / 10%)
  • Selecting an option previews the estimated total after gratuity
  • Continue to Payment inside the dialog stays disabled until an option — including "No thanks" — is chosen
  • Confirming a choice closes the dialog and advances to Payment with the chosen gratuity added to the price

For a booking type with no gratuity configured, Continue advances straight to Payment with no dialog at all. Once a gratuity choice has been made and confirmed, going back to Your Info and clicking Continue again does not reopen the dialog — the previously chosen amount stays applied.

Gratuity is calculated from the original booking price, before any discount or add-ons are applied, and it is not taxed. It's added to the total after tax, so it never changes the tax amount. See Booking Summary & Pricing for exactly where gratuity fits in the overall price calculation.

Common scenarios

Booking somewhere that doesn't show an Event Address field

This simply means the location has that setting turned off. It's independent of which booking type was chosen — if it's off for the location, it's off for every booking type there.

A booking type has its own terms to accept

If the selected booking type has opt-in enabled, its specific terms content and checkbox appear here. Choosing a different booking type on Booking Details may show different terms, or none at all, depending on that type's configuration.

Declining a gratuity

Select "No thanks" in the gratuity dialog when it appears, then confirm — the booking proceeds to Payment with no additional amount added.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Continue to Payment stays disabled

Why this happens: A required field is still empty or invalid, or the opt-in checkbox hasn't been checked when it's required.
How to fix it: Check for red error text under each field and correct it. The button re-enables automatically once everything is valid.

Issue: The gratuity dialog reopens every time I click Continue

Why this happens: This shouldn't occur once a choice has been confirmed — a dialog reappearing repeatedly is unexpected behavior worth reporting.
How to fix it: Select an option (including "No thanks") and confirm it once; it should not reappear afterward for the same booking.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to leave a tip?

No. Choosing "No thanks" in the gratuity dialog adds nothing extra to the total, and is treated the same as any other confirmed choice.

Is my marketing subscription checkbox required?

No, it's always optional. It starts pre-checked by default when the location has this feature turned on, but can be unchecked freely.

Why do I see a terms checkbox for one booking but not another?

Terms/opt-in visibility is controlled per booking type — some types require it, others don't.

Can I change my contact details after this step?

Yes. Use Back from Payment (or the step header) to return here — all previously entered details are preserved.
